Haa Dhaalu Kumundhoo Council Futsal Challenge 2022 has begun.
The tournament started at the Kumundhoo Futsal ground on the night of November 3, 2022, and a women’s category match was played to open the tournament. CS Women and Zeer Stars met in that match. The CS Women’s team won the match 1-0.
The only goal of the match was scored by Fathimat Zahura Adam of the CS Women’s Team. And she was selected as the best player of the match.
In the men’s category, The match between Zeer Sports Club and Beach City Sports Club ended in a draw. Jumail Jameel and Ali Malash scored the goals for Beach City. Ali Hafeez (Happe) and Nasif Hussain were the scorers for Zeer Sports Club. Jumail Jameel of Beach City was selected as man of the match.
Kumundhoo Council has stated that the purpose of holding a futsal competition is to establish unity and harmony among the athletes of the island, inculcate the spirit of sports, create the talented athletes in the island, and provide more opportunities to develop the skills of the emerging athletes.
In addition, the winning team will receive a cash prize of MVR 10,000 while the runner-up team will receive a cash prize of MVR 5,000.
