Volleyball camp organized by Baarah Zuvaanunge Dhirun (BZD) has begun in the island.
Volleyball camp organized by the BZD is conducted in collaboration with Baarah Police Station and will be held for 15 days.
The camp, with a total of 37 participants, including participants of both genders, aims to increase the love for volleyball in the Baarah and promote volleyball. Moreover, to prepare a team from Baarah for the volleyball tournament, which will begin on December 5, held for the northern two atolls.
Moreover, BZD thanked Baarah Police Station for their continuous support in every event organized by the BZD.
Furthermore, BZD has been conducting volleyball tournaments annually for a long time. The first 16 tournaments were held at the island level, but since last year’s tournament, the tournament is now open to all the islands of Thiladhunmathi. This year’s tournament will be the 18th tournament organised by the BZD.
Volleyball is a sport loved and played by the people of Baarah. Some youngsters who came through the volleyball tournaments in the island are already playing volleyball at the national level.
