Feydhoo Handball team has won the Handball competition of Tourism 50, Mila Uthuru Sports Fiesta 2022, organized by the Shaviyani Atoll Council with the assistance of the Ministry of Tourism.
The final match of the competition between Kanditheemu and Feydhoo was played at Lhaimagu on October 30, 2022. Feydhoo won the match 15-3. Fathimath Shifana from Feydhoo team was selected as the best player of the match.
Top three players of the tournament are Aiminath Rishtha (Feydhoo), Aishath Valiyya (Milandhoo), and Aiminath Neera (Kanditheemu). Milandhoo team keeper Mariam Lamya was selected as the best goalkeeper of the tournament, while Feydhoo teams Fathimath Shifana, was the top scorer of the tournament. Moreover, Mariyam Shalini, of Laimagu team was the most promising player of the tournament, and Fathimath Shifana of Feydhoo team was the player of the tournament. And Kanditheemu is the runners-up team in the tournament.
The winning team was awarded with a cash prize of MVR 35000, while the runners-up team was awarded with a cash prize of MVR15000.
