The Ministry of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment has announced that they are looking for interested parties to set up and install a light system at the turf football ground developed in Hanimaadhoo.
As part of the project, four light posts will be installed on two sides of the football ground, four lights will be installed in each post.
Therefore, the Ministry requests those interested in carrying out the project to submit their bids by visiting the Ministry (3rd floor of Velanage) on November 01, 2022, at 1130hrs and submit their estimates.
As part of the government’s sports policy, turf will be laid on major football playgrounds in the island and turf laying works in several islands has been already completed. And currently works are underway to make football grounds complete by adding lighting systems, rostrums, etc.
However, in some islands turf laying projects are yet to be started. But the government is planning to complete the work by the end of this term.
