Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has stated that the second shipment of rock boulders required for the breakwater construction of Sh. Feydhoo Harbor had been delivered to the project site.

MTCC also updated on ongoing works stating that quay wall construction under the project has been completed, and harbor light installations works are currently underway at the site.

Under the project to develop Sh. Feydhoo Harbour Company has to dredge 27500cbm of new harbour basin; construction of a 378m breakwater; a 90m revetment; a 276m quay wall. In addition, the installation of navigation lights and installation of streetlights will be undertaken.

The project has been contracted to MTCC by National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure with a budget of MVR 33.1 million.

MTCC has been undertaking many development projects throughout the country including building roads, airports, land reclamation, shore protection, and harbors.
