Hoarafushi Baavees Sports Club has won the RVSA Women’s Handball Tournament 2022 organized by Hoarafushi RV Sports Academy.
Baavees Sports Club won the final match played in Hoarafushi this yesterday versus Team Maarandhoo 13-12. Goalkeeper of Baavees Sports Club Nasma Nooradheen was selected as the best player of the final match
Hoarafushi Council Secretary General Mohamed Shakir presented trophies and medals to the winners of the tournament, in the ceremony held after the final match.
Top seven players of the tournament are: Fathimath Juna – Hoarafushi Airport, Fathimath Shifana – Team Maarandhoo, Aminath Rishtha – Team Maarandhoo, Mariyam Maya – Baavees Sports Club, Husna Mohamed – Baavees Sports Club, Runa Ibrahim – Baavees Sports Club, and Nasma Nooradheen – Baavees Sports Club.
Juna from the Hoarafushi Airport team was selected as the top scorer of the tournament. She scored a total of 47 goals. Baavees Sports Club coach Maumoon Abdul Sattar (Maanu) was selected as the best coach of the tournament. The runner-up team of the tournament is Maarandhoo.
RV Sports Academy was registered in 2020. Currently, more than 100 students in two age groups are training in football as well as handball. The academy has been successfully operating for more than a year.
