The “Diploma in Radiography” course conducted by State Trading Organization (STO) in collaboration with GE Healthcare has commenced.

The ceremony held to inaugurate the course was attended by the Vice President of the Maldives, Faisal Naseem. The course started by the STO is approved by both Maldives Qualification Authority (MQA) and Allied Health Council.

Moreover,  according to STO, the company has granted full scholarships with stipend money to the initial 25 students enrolled in the Diploma in Radiography course.

STO noted that the course is a level 5 Diploma level course which can be completed in 2 years and 6 months. In which the course will run for two years and that the internship period will be 6 months.

Furthermore, the classes for the course will be held at the STO Training Institute, which was registered at the STO Trade Center in 2019, and the STO GE Skill Lab opened in June 2021.

In addition, the official logo of STO Training Institute was unveiled at the ceremony. The logo was designed by Reesha Rasheed, an intern at Human Resources, under the opportunity opened internally to design the training institute logo. As her design is the winning design she was awarded with cash prize and certificate.

STO’s ‘Diploma in Radiography’ course in collaboration with GE Healthcare is the first Radiography course commenced in Maldives.
