The spokesperson of the President’s office Miuvaan Mohamed has stated that current administration is bringing about historic and transformative reforms to Bodu-Thiladhunmathi, the three northernmost atolls in the nation.

He made the remarks while speaking at a press conference held at the President’s Office to brief the media on the government’s works.

This week, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih will visit four islands in the Bodu-Thiladhunmathi region to inaugurate a number of government-initiated initiatives. The spokesperson emphasized that the administration’s Raajje Transport Link (RTL) ferry service had connected the region while highlighting the significant developmental activities it had undertaken in the area.

Moreover, Spokesperson mentioned that many initiatives, including the building of the water and sewer network and modifications to the Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital, are still under progress. Additionally, he stated that the Hanimaadhoo International Airport expansion project would be signed on September 25, 2022.

Furthermore, the current administration’s “Jazeera Raajje” developmental program, according to the spokesperson, aims to guarantee basic services in all inhabited islands and facilitate access to services across the entire nation. He continued by stating that the Bodu-Thiladhunmathi region’s transformational developments demonstrate the administration’s commitment to development atolls and islands.
