The Health Ministry handed over Sh. Feevah, Sh. Narudhoo, Sh. Lhaimagu and AA. Mathiveri Health Center extension projects to contractors.
Narudhoo and Lhaimagu Health Center extension project were awarded to Clay Limited Liability Partnership while Feevah Health Center extension project was awarded to Past Line Private Limited. The project of Mathiveri Health Center extension project was awarded to Raiza Private Limited.
According to the Health Ministry, these projects will be carried out as part of the efforts to increase the space of the health centers. The projects were awarded to be completed within five months.
Narudhoo Health Center extension project was awarded for MVR 4.2 million, Lhaimagu Health Center extension project was awarded for MVR 4.3 million while Feevah Health Center extension project was awarded for MVR 3.6 million and Mathiveri Health Center extension project for MVR 4.8 million.
The government has been working to improve the quality of health centers in the atolls and expand services. In this regard, work is underway to build extension building to increase the capacity of health centers in several islands and to upgrade health centers in the most populous islands to Hospitals.
