The training programme conducted on VIYA (Councils Finance Module) and how to prepare the financial statements of local councils held for the island councils of Haa Alifu Atoll has concluded.
The programme was conducted by the North Haa Alifu Atoll Council with the assistance of Local Government Authority. The seven day programme was commenced on August 25, 2022.
The closing closing ceremony of the training programme held in Ha. Dhidhdhoo was attended by CEO of Local Government Authority Afshan Latheef. The ceremony was also attended by President of Haa Alifu Atoll Council Moosa Shafeeq, Vice President Ahmed Sabah and council members.
Moreover, the programme was held at the Secretariat of Haa Alifu Atoll Council. A total of 36 employees from atoll councils and 14 island councils who works in finance and procurement participated in the training programme.
The facilitators of the training programme were technical staff from the Local Government Authority, Ministry of Finance and the Auditor General’s Office.
