MNDF conducted Fire awareness programmes in Ha. Thakandhoo and Ha. Maarandhoo

Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) has conducted Fire awareness programmes in Ha. Thakandhoo and Ha. Maarandhoo.

The programmes were conducted by the Fire and Rescue Service Component of MNDF Northern Area Command with the assistance of island councils and Women’s Development Committees (WDCs).

The programmes were conducted in both islands on August 27, 2022. Total 30 people participated in the programme conducted in Thakandhoo, while 80 people participated in the programme conducted in Maarandhoo.

In the awareness programme, participants were taught how to use fire extinguishers and fire blankets, as well as the best practices to be followed in common fire incidents.

The participants of the programme were briefed by MNDF’s Fire and Rescue Service Component of the Northern Area Command.
