Construction of four classrooms and a multipurpose hall in Sh. Bilehfahi School has been awarded to Evosun Maldives Private Limited.

The project was awarded to Evosun Maldives Private Limited at a ceremony held at the Education Ministry yesterday. The project was awarded to the company for MVR 17,367,860.66 to be completed within 365 days. Currently 143 students are studying at Bilehfahi School.

Moreover, Ministry Education stated that they are signing several urban projects of the schools. And Minister of Education Dr. Aishath Ali noted that MVR 1.3 billion has been spent on PSIP projects during the four years of the current administration.

Furthermore, according to the Minister, a total of 216 projects have been budgeted for the under current administration to change schools to single session since it was a presidential pledge. Out of which 44 projects have now been completed and the buildings have been put into use. And 89 projects are underway and 11 projects have now been awarded or contracted.

The projects include 1,288 classrooms, 81 multipurpose halls and 338 other projects. Other projects include construction of staffrooms, libraries and office buildings.
