Journalists and Editors from Maldives to participate a training programme in India

A delegation of Maldivian journalists and editors has left for India for a training programme.

The 8 day training programme which is to be held from August 22-29, 2022, is hosted by the Amity University under the Indian government’s ITEC Programme.

According to Maldives Media Council (MMC), this opportunity was provided by the Indian Government in response to MMC’s request under its initiative to strengthen the skills and talents of media professionals in the Maldives.

Moreover, according to MMC, Maldivian delegation consists of 20 professionals from the field. And in the training programme several areas of the Journalism will be covered.

The Maldivian delegation will be visiting various media outlets in the neighboring nation as well as governmental organizations and bodies as part of the programme to see how their work is conducted and learn more about the code of conduct at Indian media stations.
