The handball training programme held in Ha. Utheemu has been concluded and certificates have been awarded to the participants who completed the training.
The training programme was conducted by Utheemu Council in collaboration with Women’s Development Committee (WDC) and Handball Association of the Maldives. Utheemu Council noted that the programme, which was conducted from August 11 to 20, was a very successful one.
A special ceremony was held to present certificates to the participants who passed the training programme. At the ceremony, certificates were presented to 26 participants who passed the programme.
In addition, Utheemu Council and WDC have previously conducted a handball coaching camp for women in the island. And they have conducted volleyball training and volleyball competitions also have been conducted in the Island.
