Kulhudhuffushi City Police has commenced an exercise programme initiated by the Public Health Unit of Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital (KRH).
While the physical exercise programme was launched on August 7, 2022, the exercise sessions began today. The programme was launched by Inspector of Police Ahmed Fayaz. In addition to the Commander, leading instructor of the exercise programme Sub Inspector of Police Amjad Ali also addressed the participants at the ceremony. The programme was introduced to participants by Community Health Officer Anoosha Ali on behalf of the hospital.
According to KRH the purpose of the exercise programme is to create awareness among the public on how to maintain a healthy lifestyle to create a healthy society.
The activities of the exercise programme will be carried out by the trained police in Kulhudhuffushi City. The public health unit will monitor the administrative work of the programme, the changes in the body of the participants, and sharing medical information.
Although the 30 days programme was launched with 173 participants, an additional 34 participants joined the programme. According to the Public Health Unit, a total of 207 participants will participate in the programme. Initially 173 participants joined the programme but after providing the second chance to participate in the programme additional 34 participants joined.
A similar program was conducted in 2018. A total of 174 participants participated in the programme conducted from April 10 to May 10, 2018. According to the feedback received from the participants, they had seen a positive change after the programme.
