MWSC has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Maldives Institute of Technology (MIT) to develop people in technical fields.

The MoU was signed by Managing Director of MWSC Hassan Shah at a ceremony held at the company and Director of Programme Adam Haleem signed the agreement on behalf of MIT.

Under the five-year agreement, MIT will assist MWSC in training its employees in various technical fields. In this regard, the institute will conduct short term courses in various technical skills required for the employees.

MIT also agreed to provide technical assistance to prepare syllabus and course documents approved by Maldives Qualification Authority to conduct programmes in the required areas by the MWSC.

Moreover, under the MoU, MWSC will provide technical advice and assistance to the technical programmes developed by MIT and provide practical experience to MIT students.

MWSC stated that they hope the agreement will facilitate the development of technically trained personnel in various technical fields, especially in the areas of water and sewerage. MWSC also stated that the company aims to further train and develop the human resources required to provide services to its customers in a sustainable manner.
