Match day two of the Narudhoo Council Futsal Tournament 2022 has won by the Amigos and Furious.
Amigos won the match 3-0 against Leightwolf. Mohamed Naiz, Ali Ramzi and Abdul Muhaimin Moosa scored goals for the Amigos.
The second match was played between Furious and Dhoaka. Furious won the match 2-1. Hussain Farish and Ahmed Shifan scored for Furious in the match. The only goal the Dhoka scored was scored by Mohamed Jauhari. Match day three matches will be planned on July 26, 2022.
According to the Narudhoo Council, the purpose of the competition include the development of Futsal in Narudhoo and the development of football skills of the island’s youth.
Total six teams participated in the competition, in which teams were divided into two groups, and two teams with the highest point in each group would reach the semifinals. The two teams that won the semi-finals will then be given a place in the final.
Speaking about the competition, Narudhoo Council Officer Mahir stated that the competition was a football competition held in the island many years ago. However, this year it is changed to Futsal competition since the Island’s football ground is currently under construction.
