Reinstallation of FADs near Ha. Filladhoo and Sh. Komandoo begun

Work has begun to reinstall the Fish Aggregating Devices (FAD) near Ha. Filladhoo and Sh. Komandoo.

According to the Fisheries Ministry, several councils across the country have reported that the FADs have been cut off from different parts of the country. And along with FADs near Filladhoo and Komandoo, several other FADs will be reinstalled by the Fisheries Ministry’s FAD installation team.

Moreover, the Ministry of Fisheries stated that the Ministry’s FAD installation team has begun traveling to reinstall five of the cut-off FADs. They are FADs near Ha. Filladhoo, Sh. Komandoo, Lh. Faadhoo, K. Maafushi and AA. Ukulhas.

In addition, the Fisheries Ministry stated that the technical team of the Ministry is currently making arrangements to reinstall the remaining FADs which have been cut-off.
