Narudhoo Council Futsal Competition 2022, organized by Sh. Narudhoo Council is set to begin on Friday July 22, 2022.
According to the Narudhoo Council, the purpose of the competition include the development of Futsal in Narudhoo and the development of football skills of the island’s youth.
Total six teams participated in the competition, which was planned to be held after dividing the teams into two groups, and two teams with the highest point in each group will reach the semifinals. The two teams that won the semi-finals will then be given a place in the final.
Speaking about the competition, Narudhoo Council Officer Mahir stated that the competition was a football competition held in the island many years ago. However, this year it is changed to Futsal competition since the Island’s football ground is currently under construction.
Mahir further stated that competition has been conducted for several years and talented footballers from the atoll and from across the country participates in the competition.
