Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has stated that 50% of the Sh. Lhaimagu Harbour Development project has been completed.
MTCC also updated on the ongoing work stating that second shipment of rock boulders required for quay wall construction has been delivered to the project site.
Under the project to develop Lhaimagu Harbour, the company has to dredge 31000 cubic meter of harbor basin, construction of a 276 meter quay wall, a 350 meter breakwater, and 500 meter revetment. In addition, the installation of navigation lights, installation of streetlights and installation of a 1380 square meter paved area will also be undertaken.

The project is worth MVR 53.1 million.
MTCC has been undertaking many development projects throughout the country including building roads, airports, land reclamation, shore protection, and harbors.
