State Electric Company (STELCO) has launched its solar panel installation programme “Avikatha”.
The programme was launched by Vice President Faisal Naseem at the silver jubilee ceremony held by the company.
STELCO’s new “Avikatha” programme was initiated to facilitate easy income generation by leasing the roofs of houses to install solar panels. According to STELCO with the permission of the owner and if the roofs of the houses are at least 100 square feet, and the roof can carry a weight of 150 kilos, they can participate in the scheme.
The company further stated that customers will be able to participate in the programme from the first of next month onwards. And an agreement will be signed between the applicant and STELCO.
After the agreement, STELCO will install solar panels and deposit the rent money to the bank account allocated every month.
