Ha. Kelaa Council opens opportunity to design a monument

Ha. Kelaa Council has opened opportunity for interested parties to design the monument representing Kelaa.

According to the announcement by the council, specific instructions were given to consider in designing the monument. In this regard, the Council stated that the design submitted must be an original design without copying any other monument, nor should it be a design submitted to another party.

Moreover, council stated that the submitting design have to be in 3D, and that the monument design must be visible at night as well. Also, proposed design should be able to be built from cement or other materials, and the materials which can be used to design specific sections of the monument should be detailed separately. And the design should symbolize Kelaa, culture of the island, or the work of the island’s people.

A cash prize of MVR 5,000 will be awarded to the person who designs the selected monument for the use. Therefore council request to submit the soft copy of the design before 1400 hours on July 20, 2022 to council’s email [email protected]

In addition, the council stated that the council can request the first-place winner to bring a minor change to the design so that the original (composition and concept) of the design is not lost.
