Ooredoo Maldives has conducted a cyber awareness session for students on three islands of Haa Alifu Atoll.
The sessions were held in Ha. Uligamu, Ha. Thuraakunu, and Ha. Hoarafushi. These sessions were held in collaboration with Women in Tech and Maldives Police.
Purpose of these sessions was to spread awareness on best practices to protect themselves from cyber threats. According to Ooredoo Maldives, sessions held in Thuraakunu were attended by both parents and students. Moreover, engaging sessions were held in Ha. Hoarafushi with parents, students and organizations of the island.
Furthermore, Ooredoo Maldives stated that to ensure cyber safety for children, it is equally important to raise the knowledge and awareness level among parents.
In addition, they appreciated the support they received for these sessions in Haa Alif atoll. Also stated they will remain committed to conducting sessions across the nation.
