Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has stated that 56% of K. Himmafushi Harbour Development project (phase 2) has been completed.
MTCC also updated on ongoing works stating that break water construction under the project has been completed and pavement construction work is underway with 69% completion.
Under the project to develop the Himmafushi Harbour (phase 2) MTCC has to dredge 14300 cubic meter of new harbour basin, construction of a 38 meter breakwater, a 248 meter revetment, and a 172 meter quay wall. In addition, the installation of navigation lights, installation of streetlights, and construction of paved area will be undertaken.
The project is worth MVR 25.88 million.
MTCC has been undertaking many development projects throughout the country including building roads, airports, land reclamation, shore protection, and harbours.
