Ministry of National Planning, Housing, and Infrastructure has awarded to establish easy access platforms for passengers in six islands of Boduthiladhunmathi (zone 1) to be used for Integrated National Public Ferry Network designed to connect The Maldives with a high-speed ferry network to Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC).
Under the project, the platform will be established in Ha. Dhidhdhoo, Ha. Hoarafushi, Ha. Kelaa HDh. Kulhudhuffushi, HDh. Hanimaadhoo, and HDh. Nolhivaranfaru.
The project is worth MVR 5 million was awarded to MTCC to be completed in 300 days.
MTCC commenced ferry services in Zone One on May 2, 2022, as part of the government’s Integrated National Public Ferry Network project to connect the country with a high speed ferry system.
