The proposed junior college in Dhidhdhoo would be built on a 30,000 square feet land area and will have up to two floors. In addition to classrooms, study rooms, an auditorium, a library, and a student services section, the college will have an accommodation building, laboratory facilities, and a multipurpose workshop. A gymnasium and an activity center will also be available at the college.

The junior college project is being run under the Ministry of Higher Education’s new educational model. In this context, the new model’s colleges will focus on foundation courses for students aged 16 to 21 who have completed their ordinary level tests. The courses offered by junior colleges would last two years.
