Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has commenced the construction of the International Preschool in Ha. Hoarafushi as part of MTCC’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.
The ceremony to start the construction of Preschool was attended by Hoarafushi constituency MP Ahmed Saleem, Hoarafushi Council President Mohamed Waheed, Council members, Officials of MTCC stationed at Hoarafushi, officials from the institute of the island and the general public.
Hoarafushi Council stated that the commencement of the work of Hoarafushi International Preschool was a great achievement for the children and Hoarafushi. Moreover, the council stated that this was an important step towards strengthening the foundation of preschool education. And it was a great pleasure for the childrens of the island to begin the construction of the building on Children’s Day.
Furthermore, according to MTCC, the three-classroom school is scheduled to be complete in eight months. And the company stated they aim to complete the project as soon as possible, and fulfil the hopes of young children and their parents.
MTCC also stated that enhancing educational access has been a cornerstone of the company’s culture since its establishment, and that it has participated in different CSR activities throughout the years.
