Ha. Dhidhdhoo Council has begun ID card issuance services in the Island.
According to Haa Alifu Atoll Council, as per the Decentralization Act, the issuance of national identity card for the people of Ha. Dhidhdhoo has been transferred to Dhidhdhoo Council from May 08, 2022, onwards.
Moreover, Atoll council stated that work to transfer the ID card issuance service to Dhidhdhoo Council began at the beginning of the fourth term of the Atoll Council. Since the service was transferred to atolls ID card issuance service to entire Haa Alif Atoll has been provided by Atoll Council (formally Atoll Office) without any interruption.
In addition, the Atoll Council noted that it was easier for the residents of Dhidhdhoo since the service has been changed to Dhidhdhoo council.
