MTCC generates a profit of MVR 232 million last year

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) reported a net profit of MVR 232 million last year.

According to the annual report published by the company yesterday, the company generated an income of MVR 1.96 billion last year. This is an increase of 43% compared to 2020.

MTCC’s net profit for the year 2021 was MVR 232 million. This is an increase of 21% compared to 2020. This is the best the company has achieved in its 41-year history.

The company generated the largest revenue last year through construction, harbour construction, land reclamation, beach protection and sheet piling.

According to MTCC reports, 57 projects were awarded to the company last year. By the end of the year, 27 projects had been completed.

MTCC is currently carrying out 103 projects across the country. And the company’s projects are carried in every atoll of the Maldives.
