Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has been contracted to renovate the Harbour of Sh. Narudhoo.

At a ceremony held at the Planning Ministry, the agreement was signed by Permanent Secretary of the Ministry Zeeniya Ahmed Hameed, and CEO of MTCC Adam Azim signed the agreement on behalf of the company.

Under the project to renovate Sh. Narudhoo Harbour MTCC has to dredge 36010 cubic meters from currently used harbour, dredging of 15202 cubic meter new harbour basin, channel dredging operations of 4120 cubic meter, construction of a 371 meter breakwater, a 205 meter revetment, and a 210 meter quay wall. In addition, installation of harbour lights, installation street lights, installation of 955 square meter harbor pavement and construction of a ramp.

The value of the project is MVR 43,829,602.92 million and the project is to be completed within 365 days.
