Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has stated that M. Muli Airport Development project progressing at a fast pace.

MTCC also updated on ongoing works stating that construction of bund wall work has commenced in order to prepare for reclamation and foundation works of the terminal building are underway at the project site.

Under the project, 14 hectares of land will be reclaimed, 1,812 meters of shore protection and a 1,200 meter long and 30 meter wide runway will be established. In addition, a taxiway and an apron will also be built at the airport.

The project is worth MVR 221.7 million.

MTCC has been undertaking many development projects throughout the country including building roads, airports, land reclamation, shore protection, and harbours.
