Milandhoo Police Station in collaboration with Milandhoo School has conducted an awareness program to provide information to parents of Milandhoo School on cybercrime cases and how to raise their children in a good manner.
The program also briefed the parents on how to prevent and protect children from crimes committed via the Internet, especially among adolescents. They also briefed the parents on how to pay attention while children using the Internet, to report any crime without delay, and how to protect children from such acts. Moreover, police also urged parents to remind children not to talk to strangers who meet on the Internet and to always remind children not to share their information.
According to the police, the program advised parents to closely monitor children, what is happening in the community and to listen carefully to what children’s say. In addition, they urged parents to set an example for their children by sharing required information on other issues as well.
