Hiyaa Flats to be billed for Waste collection services from next month onwards

Waste Management Corporation (WAMCO) has announced plans to bill for waste collection services from Hiyaa flats from next month onwards.

According to the company’s announcement, billing will begin from May 1, 2022 onwards. Therefore, a fee of MVR 150 will be billed to each apartment in Hiyaa Flat for the waste collection services.

Company stated that the bill and account details will be sent via SMS to those registered for waste collection. Moreover, company has also requested to register, the unregistered flats as soon as possible. WAMCO decided to bill for the service as many families are now living in the Hiyaa area.

WAMCO provides general waste collection services to second phase households. Therefore, the company requests to use “call and pickup services” to collect heavy and large waste.
