Neykurendhoo Council has commenced the “B14” Quran Competition.
According to Neykurendhoo Council President Ali Siraj, this is a competition held by the council every year during the month of Ramadan.
Competition will be held in six age groups, that is: Under 6 years of age, Under 9 years of age, Under 11 years of age, Under 13 years of age, Under 19 years of age, and Under 21 years.
As per the council, a large number of participants participated in the competition. The council also noted that the number of participants who participate in the competition has been increasing from year to year.
Moreover Neykurendhoo Council has stated a special award from president Ibrahim Mohamed Solih will be given for the first place winner of the competition. In addition to the trophy awarded by the council to the winners of the competition, the island’s Ehee Jamiyya will also present a cash prize to the winners of the competition.
