Discussions held on establishing a Police station in HDh. Nellaidhoo

HDh. Nellaidhoo Council has met with the Senior Police Officials from Haa Dhaalu Atoll and held discussions regarding establishing a police station in Nellaidhoo.

According to Vice President of Nellaidhoo Council Ahmed Rasheed, the meeting was held to make preparations for commencing Police services in Nellaidhoo. The meeting was attended by members of Nellaidhoo Council and General Secretary of the Council. And acting commander in Haa Dhaalu Atoll and senior police officials attended the meeting.

During the meeting, it was agreed to establish a Police station in Nellaidhoo instead of Police Desk, which was previously planned. Rasheed noted that this is an essential service to the people of the island.

The council further stated that the deadline for providing services has been delayed due to some difficulties faced during the month of Ramadan. Rasheed also expressed hope that services will be commenced in May.
