Utheemu Council’s 7th Quran Competition has started.

The purposes of the competition are to inculcate love for reciting the Holy Quran in the hearts of the people, to revive the art of reciting the Holy Quran, encouraging to memorize the Holy Quran, to encourage the creation of Qari and Hafiz, to work towards protecting the Holy Quran, to create religious awareness, and to create participants of the level competing in national competitions.

The competition will be held in three days from April 16-18, 2022. The island-level competition is open to all age groups people in Utheemu. Moreover, a total of 65 students and three other participants participated in the competition.

In addition, Utheemu also has a branch of the Centre for the Holy Quran.
