GDh. Rathafandhoo Coastal Protection Project awarded to MTCC

Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure has awarded GDh. Rathafandhoo Coastal Protection Project to Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC).

At a ceremony held at the Planning Ministry, the agreement was signed by Permanent Secretary Zeeniya Ahmed and Chief Operating Officer of MTCC Shahid Hussain Moosa signed the agreement on behalf of the company.

Under the project to protect the coastal area of GDh. Rathafandhoo, MTCC has to add 6600 cubic meters of sand to the beach, construction of 240 meters breakwater, and 461 meters of revetment.

The project worth MVR 27.84 million was awarded to MTCC to be completed in 210 days.

In the past three years, MTCC has completed several harbour construction, land reclamation and beach protection projects.
