Ooredoo Masrace commenced

This year’s Ooredoo Masrace has commenced.

The competition is held every Ramadan. Six teams participated in yesterday’s event.

Six teams participated in yesterday’s event were RDC’s team, Boy Team, SIFCO team, Agronet team, Post Office team and Goalhians team.

The Champion Team, based on the weight and quality of the fishes caught will receive MVR50000, cash prize MVR 5000 for the fisherman who reels in the heaviest catch, and cash prize of MVR 5000 to the fisherman who catches the most fish. In addition, several awards are also presented by the sponsors.

Total 23 teams participated in this year’s Masrace. This year’s competition is held after a two years break due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.
