Fenaka Corporation Limited has commenced the Fenaka Family Quran Competition 1443 in Zone 1.

This is the fifth year Fenaka has held the competition. The competition was held in four regions in 2019 and was suspended due to Covid-19 pandemic. This is the year the competition resumed after two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

According to Fenaka, members of Fenaka families from the atolls in the zones can participate in the competition. And as judges for the competition are from Islamic University of Maldives. Zone 1 of the tournament, organized by Fenaka Recreation Club, consists of Shaviyani Atoll and Noonu Atoll. Zone 2 of the tournament will be held from 15th to 16th Of This Month. Fenaka stated that the competition will be held during the four weekends of Ramadan

While the competition will be held in four zones, the islands where competitions are held are; Zone 1: Sh. Milandhoo, Zone 2: GA. Villingili, Zone 3: S. Hithadhoo, and Zone 4: Male’ City.

Fenaka has increased the prize money for this year’s competition. The first place winner of the competition will receive a cash prize of MVR 15,000, certificates, and trophy. MVR 10,000 for second place, and for the third place MVR 5,000. Moreover, the first, second and third place of each age group from the competition will be selected, and they will also be awarded with trophy and certificates.

According to Fenaka, this is a competition held to inculcate love for reciting the Holy Quran in the hearts of its employees and their families, and to revive the art of reciting the Quran. The company also stated that memorizing the Holy Quran and encouraging and promoting recitation of the Holy Quran in the Tajweed is also the aim of the competition.
