Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has stated that the first shipment of rock boulders required for N. Manadhoo Harbor Channel and Breakwater Construction Project has been delivered to the project site.

MTCC also updated on ongoing works stating that footing and column casting works for Jetty construction work is currently underway.

Under the project to develop Manadhoo Harbour MTCC has to dredge 29038 cubic meter of harbour basin,, construction of a 195 meter breakwater, a 188 meter revetment, and construction of a bridge. In addition, the installation of navigation lights, installation of streetlights, construction of a ramp and development of a paved area will be undertaken.

The project is worth MVR 32.1 million.

MTCC has been undertaking many development projects throughout the country including building roads, airports, land reclamation, shore protection, and harbours.
