Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has stated that Construction of Fire building is underway as part of the Muli airport development project.
MTCC also updated on ongoing works stating that 50 percent of the block casting of the fire pond has now been completed.
Under the project, 14 hectares of land will be reclaimed, 1,812 meters of shore protection and a 1,200 meter long and 30 meter wide runway will be established. In addition, a taxiway and an apron will also be built at the airport.
The project is worth MVR 221.7 million.
MTCC has been undertaking many development projects throughout the country including building roads, airports, land reclamation, shore protection, and harbours.
