Maldives Transport and Contracting Corporation (MTCC) has revealed that the construction of the groyne at Ha. Hoarafushi Airport Shore Protection Project is nearing completion.
MTCC also updated on ongoing works stating that 70% Groyne construction and 35% of Breakwater profiling is completed under Hoarafushi Airport Shore Protection Project.
Under the Hoarafushi Airport Shore protection project include coastal protection and construction of a concrete culvert on the causeway which connects from Hoarafushi to the Airport.

The project has been contracted to MTCC by National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure with a budget of MVR 90.5 million.
MTCC has been undertaking many development projects throughout the country including building roads, airports, land reclamation, shore protection, and harbours.
