Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has revealed that 55% of Hanimaadhoo Harbour Development project has been completed.
MTCC also updated on ongoing works stating that quay wall concrete works are underway and sand-filled breakwater construction works have been started.
Under the project to develop Hanimaadhoo Harbour MTCC has to dredge 53523 cubic meter of harbour basin, dredging of 31576 cubic meter from currently used harbour basin, construction of a 355 meter breakwater, a 50 meter revetment, and a 270 meter quay wall. In addition, the installation of navigation lights, installation of streetlights, and developing a 2583 square feet paved area will be undertaken.
The project is worth MVR 64.6 million.
MTCC has been undertaking many development projects throughout the country including building roads, airports, land reclamation, shore protection, and harbours.
