Dhidhdhoo Council has begun work on converting the street lights into LED lights.
According to Dhidhdhoo Council President Abdulla Rasheed, currently used street lights will be converted to LED lights and new lights will be installed in the roads that do not have sufficient lights.
Moreover, according to the council, priority will be given to change the lights on paved roads. Also, the Council hopes that the project will be completed within six months.
In addition, the project is funded by the Dhidhdhoo Council budget. Rasheed stated that a budget of MVR 1 million is allocated for the project. Council hopes that the project will benefit the citizens.
