Work begins to establish Water and Sewerage systems in Vaikaradhoo and Kelaa

Work has commenced to establish Water and Sewerage systems in Ha. Kelaa and HDh. Vaikaradhoo.

According to the Planning Ministry, the project commenced in Vaikaradhoo on February 5, 2022, and in Kelaa on February 6, 2022.

The two projects are part of the USD 800 million Line of Credit facility agreement of Exim Bank of India, being carried out on a design and build basis. Projects to establish water and sewerage systems in 34 islands of the Maldives will be carried out as part of the USD 800 million Line of Credit facility agreement of Exim Bank of India

Several projects have been planned to be carried out in the Maldives under the USD 800 million Line of Credit facility of Exim Bank of India, and out of those currently some projects underway.
