ADh. Mandhoo Harbour Development project progressing at a quick pace

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has revealed that the Harbour Development project in Miladhoo is progressing at a quick pace.

MTCC also updated on ongoing works stating that new entrance channel dredging operations and new harbour basin dredging operations are currently underway.

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has stated that they have commenced the Mandhoo Harbour Development Project on December 15, 2021. Under the project to develop Mandhoo Harbour, the company has to dredge 65854 cubic meter harbour basin, construction of a 236 meter quay wall, a 318 meter breakwater, 71 meter revetment, and construction of a 50 meter groin will be undertaken. In addition, the installation of navigation lights, installation of streetlights, and developing a 1180 square feet paved area will be undertaken. 

The project is worth MVR 34.1 million. 

MTCC has been undertaking many development projects throughout the country including building roads, airports, land reclamation, shore protection, and harbours.
