Construction of Canopy in Thuraakunu School Playground completed

Thuraakunu School in collaboration with Island Council have completed the construction of Canopy in the School’s playground.

Thuraakunu Council President Ali Abdul Latheef stated that the project was completed within two days. Latheef also noted that the island’s police desk and the general public had assisted in the project.

The 50 foot – 35 foot playground development project is being carried out in phases. According to the council, the equipment has now been received for the playground and work is underway to bring and to install the carpet in coming weeks.

The council spent MVR 50,000 on the project. In addition, the council thanked the public and the police desk for their assistance in this project and noted that they hope for the support of the people and institutions of the island in such activities in the future.
