A Turf Football Ground to be developed in Sh. Feydhoo.

Minister of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment Ahmed Mahloof has stated that a Turf Football Ground will be developed in Sh. Feydhoo.

Minister Mahloof made the statement during his visit to the island to hold discussions with the island council.

President of Feydhoo Council and Vice President of Shaviyani Atoll Council Ahmed Raisham stated that establishing a turf Football Ground in the island is a great aspiration of the youth of the island.

Moreover, according to Raisham, Minister Mahloof has assured that the search for a party to work on the project will begin within the next three weeks and Minister Mahloof noted that the Feydhoo will be one of the first islands to begin work on the turf Football grounds this year.

The Ministry of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment has also commenced the work of installing lighting systems in the island’s volleyball court. Moreover, the council also requested Minister Mahloof to redevelop the volleyball court, to establish an outdoor gym and to appoint a sports council to the island.
