MTCC made the biggest profit in its history last year.

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has made the biggest profit in last year in their 41 year history.

Statistics published by MTCC show that the company made a profit of MVR 264.45 million from business of MVR 1.96 billion last year. The company made a profit of MVR 220.75 million in 2020 from  businesses of MVR 1.36 billion.

The company made a net profit of MVR 52.27 million in the last quarter of 2021 from business of MVR 625.70 million, compared to MVR 80.94 million from business of MVR 408.76 million in the same period 2020.

MTCC is currently working on 103 projects which began in the fourth quarter of 2021. From those projects, 10 projects were completed in the first quarter of this year, while eight projects commenced. And 18 more projects have been awarded to the company.

In addition, MTCC stated that the company has formulated and revised its strategic plans to expand and strengthen its businesses in light of the current situation. And the company gives their shareholders the good news that the necessary changes have been made to the businesses, to develop the business, and take precautionary measures to achieve the company’s goals.
