Hoarafushi Road Development project officially commenced

Physical work of the Hoarafushi Road Development project has officially commenced.

The project was commenced by Hoarafushi MP Ahmed Saleem at a ceremony held in Hoarafushi. The ceremony was attended by President of Hoarafushi Council Mohamed Waheed, CEO of MTCC Adam Azim and senior officials of MTCC.

The Hoarafushi Road Development Project was awarded to MTCC in April 2021. The project was inaugurated in November. 

Under the project, 11 roads, a total area of 5.3 kilometers will be developed and an area of 2590 square meters will be levelled and paved. And, 11114 square meter pavement will be constructed along with the water drainage system. In addition, installation of street lights and road signs will.

The project is worth MVR 71.90 million.
